NORTH CAROLINA ARMY MARS
 TRAINING AND INFORMATION
All North Carolina Army MARS members must successfully complete
the current Army MARS Basic Training Course and final
examination. On-the-air training includes proven experience and
accomplishment in every aspect of radio net
and emergency operations.
Training is an ongoing requirement. Nets and training nets form a
routine part of daily North Carolina Army MARS nets. Members
participate in a year-round schedule of MARS nets, exercises, and
other operating activities. In this way they continuously test their
equipment and sharpen their skills for a actual emergency or
when needed to pass traffic.
North Carolina Army MARS participates in daily nets for on-the-air
training. These nets includes all MARS members including Air Force,
and Navy / Marine Corps MARS. During nets we follow disciplined
communications procedures. All of our net participation is
considered training, right up to the occurance of an actual
communications emergency.
New training materials are being developed now at the national
level. North Carolina Army MARS members practice procedures and
train daily on the Army MARS nets.

Many Army MARS materials are "FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY" and
cannot be made available here. If you are a North Carolina Army
MARS member and do not have or missing some training material
that is classified as "FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY", contact the North
Carolina Army MARS Training Officer "AAM4TNC" for these
training materials.  The following information and links is general
